The recent discoveries of the genetic mutations for Primary Lens Luxation (PLL) and Spinocerebellar Ataxia (SCA) and the development of tests have been wonderful. We now have two genetic tests that will aid us in making educated breeding decisions.
Please support the JRTRF with a tax-deductible donation and by placing your terriers DNA in the JRTRF Bank at the University of Missouri. With your assistance, we can continue to provide grants for research of genetic disease in the Jack Russell Terrier.
We have several donation options: one-time donation, monthly subscription donation (for 12 months) or donation by check.

Donate Your Dogs DNA
The donation of DNA is the most important thing you can do to help our breed. It doesn’t matter if your Jack Russell is the highest ranking at the shows or is the best couch potato ever, our bank needs your terrier’s DNA. The more samples we have in the bank, the better our chances of finding genetic markers. Markers identify the defective genes through genetic testing. We also need healthy DNA in the bank, which helps researchers isolate the unhealthy genes.
The Jack Russell Terrier Research Foundation (JRTRF) is a section 501(c)(3) organization. Your tax deductible donation is an important contribution.
